The Salisbury House & Gardens
Cosmetics tycoon Carl Weeks and his wife Edith constructed Salisbury House in the 1920s. The house was fashioned after Salisbury, England's King's House in tudor style. Shakespearean-era rafters and genuine imported English oak woodwork from the 16th century can be found in the charming mansion. Salisbury House, dubbed a "national treasure," is decorated with the family's original collection of tapestries, antique furniture, and works of art.
Our search for a venue was very short, the minute we stepped foot in Salisbury House nothing else came close. If you know us, you know we both love baroque art, castles, etc. Harry loved the grand tapestries and antique knight's armor, Kate loved the classical art and romantic ambiance. We can't wait to celebrate our love at the Salisbury House and we hope you will love it as much as we do!
The entire mansion will be open for self guided tours during our cocktail hour, we encourage guests to explore and admire the architecture and vast art collection.
Transportation/Parking
We encourage uber/carpooling, especially if you are going to be consuming alcohol. We do not condone drunk driving!
Cars may be left in the venue parking lot if necessary, but this is to be avoided. Any cars that are left overnight will need to be picked up by 10am the next morning to ensure that they are not towed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I RSVP? When are responses due?
If you know in advance that you will or will not be able to attend our wedding, please let us know. Once you receive your formal invitation you will be able to officially RSVP. Please use the button below to do so. We need your RSVP by August 11th. Thanks!
May I bring a date?
Due to limited space, only the names addressed on your invitation are formally invited to our celebration. We ask that you respect our wishes for an intimate ceremony & reception.
Are children invited?
In order to allow all of our guests a night of relaxation, our ceremony & reception will be an adult only affair with the exception of our flower children. We hope that this advanced notice means that you are able to enjoy our special day with us.
What is the dress code?
We kindly request cocktail attire. For gentlemen: slacks paired with a nice button down/sports coat is appropriate. For ladies: cocktail or semi formal dresses are appropriate. No jeans or shorts please!
May I take photos with my phone/camera during the wedding?
You are welcome to take photos throughout the day. However it is imperative that NO FLASH is used at any time. We have hired a photographer that shoots in 35mm film specifically and flash can ruin the photos that we have hired her to take.
If you do take photos, we would love to see them. You can share your photos with us via email at: harrykatemcvey@gmail.com or text them to one of us!
Will there be a bar?
Of course! Beer, standard liquor selections, and white wine will be available in addition to our signature cocktails. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer red wine of any kind due to the historical and delicate nature of our venue.
We have included some useful information regarding transportation/accommodations for the night on the travel section of our website. Please do not drink and drive.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts...
